HostPapa rebrands group as Managed.com after CloudBlue deal

New umbrella brand unifies 20+ acquisitions under one holding company

A new corporate umbrella has emerged for one of the hosting industry’s most active acquirers. Managed.com debuted on 17 September as the holding company for HostPapa, ColoCrossing, Hostopia, CloudBlue, and LogoMaker, among others. The launch formalizes a structure that has been taking shape through acquisitions since 2013, with the most transformative deal closing just over a year ago.

The rebrand does not alter the customer experience for any of the group’s existing brands. HostPapa continues to sell shared hosting under its own name, ColoCrossing retains its data-center operations, and CloudBlue remains focused on channel commerce and marketplace technology. The new identity instead provides a single corporate label for what the group describes as a "supply chain" spanning logo design, web hosting, dedicated infrastructure, and wholesale distribution.

What the group now contains

Managed.com brings together businesses that serve distinct segments of the market. HostPapa targets small and medium-sized businesses with websites, domains, and email services. ColoCrossing operates ten data centers across North America and Europe, offering dedicated and colocation services. Hostopia provides white-label and wholesale solutions to telcos, agencies, and managed service providers, claiming over 350 partners worldwide. CloudBlue, acquired from Ingram Micro in August 2025, handles subscription billing, provisioning, and multi-tier margin control, with more than 450 pre-built integrations. LogoMaker rounds out the portfolio with brand-identity services for startups.

The group states it employs over 750 people in 40 countries and owns more than ten data centers. Since 2013, it has acquired roughly 20 businesses, including Tailor Made Servers and Hostwinds in 2026, and the web-hosting and logo-design operations of Deluxe Corporation in 2023. The CloudBlue acquisition marked a significant expansion into channel commerce, integrating the platform’s automation and marketplace technology with Hostopia’s service-delivery capabilities.

Key facts
  • Managed.com launched on 17 September as the parent brand for HostPapa, ColoCrossing, Hostopia, CloudBlue, and LogoMaker
  • The group claims over 750 employees in 40 countries and ownership of ten or more data centers
  • CloudBlue was acquired from Ingram Micro on 25 August 2025
  • A USD 130 million credit facility led by Bank of Montreal closed on 3 June 2025 to support acquisitions
  • The group has completed roughly 20 acquisitions since 2013

Funding and acquisition strategy

The CloudBlue deal was financed in part by a USD 130 million syndicated credit facility led by Bank of Montreal, with participation from Toronto-Dominion Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Citibank Canada, and the Business Development Bank of Canada. The facility, announced on 3 June 2025, replaced an earlier arrangement with TD Bank and includes an "uncommitted accordion option," allowing the group to request additional funding from the same syndicate without renegotiating the entire agreement.

The timing of the financing and the CloudBlue announcement—one day apart—suggests the facility was structured to support the acquisition. The group has continued to expand since, adding Tailor Made Servers and Hostwinds in 2026. The new Managed.com brand positions the group as a long-term operator rather than a private-equity platform or strategic buyer focused on resale, a distinction highlighted on its website: "We acquire to operate and improve, strengthening the processes and customer experience behind each brand."

Implications for the hosting market

The launch of Managed.com signals a shift in how the group presents itself to both customers and potential sellers. By consolidating its acquisitions under a single corporate identity, the group aims to streamline internal operations while maintaining the autonomy of its individual brands. For competitors and potential acquisition targets, the move underscores the group’s focus on operational integration rather than financial engineering.

The inclusion of CloudBlue, a platform used by telcos, distributors, and managed service providers, also positions the group as a player in the broader channel-commerce ecosystem. This could influence how other hosting providers evaluate partnerships or acquisition opportunities, particularly those looking to expand their own wholesale or reseller capabilities.
