Police dismantle SocGholish botnet infecting 15,000 WordPress sites

Law enforcement agencies from the Netherlands, Canada, the U.S., and Germany cleaned SocGholish malware from 14,971 WordPress sites and took down 106 associated servers in a coordinated action targeting the Evil Corp cybercrime group. The operation, part of the broader Operation Endgame, aims to disrupt a key infection vector used to distribute ransomware and other malware.
